Lecanto High School
Interact Club, sponsored by the Sugarmill Woods Rotary, worked side by
side with SMW Rotarians and community vendors at the Arts and Crafts
Fair on August 7. President Aaron Johnston reports plans for monthly
service. Previously this new club had worked with Rotary clubs and
community members to provided 500,000 meals through Stop Hunger Now.
These high school students have been present at most of the Citrus
County Rotary events in the spring of 2010. They are off to a fabulous
start.
Sugarmill Woods Rotary’s
first Arts and Crafts Fair, under the direction of Ken Steidel, was a
huge success. All indoor and outdoor space was purchased. President
elect Steidel reported that 100% of our club members in the area
participated in the event! He was delighted to see the Interact members
joining in this event. All profit from the event will be used to support
our community service projects.
